Until 2008, this event took place at the RCA Dome. However, this “pro-day” is now hosted at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

A Bit of History

It was Schramm who developed an evaluation process of all NFL teams. Before the Combine was actually conceptualized (prior to 1982), teams were required to schedule individual visits with players.

During this event, a wide range of tests and evaluations will be performed, including:

Typically, 335 players are invited to Indianapolis to showcase their talents. A Selection Committee determines who comes, prior to which all eligible players are reviewed and voted on. The event originally began airing on television back in 2004, and now reaches more than five million viewers.
