Activ8’s group classes looks to push athletes, weekend warriors, and those looking invest in reaching their fitness potential. Each class is athletic based and focused on developing the athlete’s longevity and performance. Group classes allow athletes to reach their fitness goals while reducing their risk of injury. Activ8’s classes are 60 minutes long and are lead by one of Activ8’s  Performance Coaches.

Our Classes
Functional
This class is based on functional strength complimenting functional movement. It will include linear, lateral, and multi-directional field work designed to elevate the heart rate and elicit fat burn as well as multi-joint strength exercises designed to make our bodies more efficient and athletic. During this class you will focus on and correct any deficiencies (energy leaks) within your body (system).
Metabolic
High-intensity interval training designed to accelerate fat burn through agility training and muscular endurance resistance training. There will be very little rest during this class as the heart rate will remain elevated for 60 minutes. During this class, you will be challenged both aerobically and anaerobically. Interval training will aid in the burning of fat while muscular endurance is emphasized as you are pushed to your limits. This class will challenge and force you to get out of your comfort zone.
Power
Geared toward developing neuromuscular strength as well as hypertrophy through high to moderate set, low to moderate repetition multi-joint and single-joint lifting of heavy weights. Power development will also be emphasized through both lower body and upper body plyometrics as well as Olympic lifting. The Strength & Power class is a nice compliment for the fitness enthusiast to reach their goals of optimum performance.
Core
The core consists of our glutes, abdomen, obliques, muscles in the low and mid-back as well as muscles of the shoulder girdle. The class will train the core dynamically with a specific emphasis on strength, posture, and balance. Very rarely during the day do we find ourselves laying on our back doing an everyday activity. Since our core is the foundation for our movement it makes sense to train it accordingly. This class will be 60 minutes providing a variety of movements that will strengthen and isolate the core. Our core is usually the first set of muscles to go increasing our risk of back pain and instability throughout the body.
Power

We Offer Three Classes A Day. Five Days A Week. One Weekend Class On Saturday Morning.
